Well Here is what you have to figure out the way to protect your account and make it safely to do the transaction through apps and websites.Although net banking is not safe.

#1 Do You Install Apps From Play store?

If you use smartphone then you have to be careful at every part of your day.
people use google playstore to download applications,
The major mistake we all do is not to look on "permissions" while installing apps.

some applications ask permissions such as
" messages, location, media/files/photos" and you simply click on install because you are in a hurry to use it.

The word permission means 'you are allowing'
You are allowing them to see the messages you are getting , you are allowing them to use photos you have in the gallery and you are allowing them to locate your device"

Not every apps in google playstore has intention to hack your account but some of them really has.
How to get to know its authentic?
Go through all peoples comments on app in playstore and see the permissions.

If they are showing unrelated permissions for example if you want to install 'flash light' they only need to get the permission of camera so if it is showing many permissions such as camera, message, device history, storage  then that's something strange and fishy....

#2 You Must Logout!!!

You are not too far from hackers!
Whether its an application or computer
You need to logout from it after you finish, especially if you are using banking related applications.

Some applications or websites logout automatically after you use but some of DIGITAL- WALLET applications might not be logout (eg:Amazon, flipkart,eBay,PayPal,etc) so a fraud  person can easily steal money with your device when its lost or stolen.

Digital wallet :-  Digital wallet refers to an electronic device that allows an individual to make electronic transactions. this includes purchasing items online with a computer or smartphone to purchase something at a store, your bank account linked with store's website that will automatically transfer money to store when you buy items

If you think its good to keep  the  password of your accounts to remember especially ATM pincode and CVV of bank card in your mobile then you are absolutely wrong.
There is no need to explain for this content we all know that,
for example if you have a friend who uses your phone then he can easily copy the entire important data's  by sending mail to his email with your phone or just to use Bluetooth.

So it's better to keep some important details in your mind or write in paper and keep in home . Do not keep into wallets.

#4 Have Habit to Delete messages please

Are you still keep messages or lazy to delete banking related messages from your phone?

You need to delete every messages which are banking related( account balance,mini-statement) and OTP of applications and websites.

The reason is now a days you can see when you install a application in your smartphone through Google playstore, they will ask you some permission such as "messages, location,WiFi connection,photos/media/files,etc to accept before install.

Once you click on install you have no idea what these application does.
They can read all messages you are getting, they can use all photos in your gallery, they can track you through location.

So point is delete all banking related messages from your phone unless hackers can easily use messages and get your account details.
This is the better way for hackers to get into the restricted area of your account.

#5 What Is Pishing?

Pishing is an attempt to steal sensitive information such as login credential
and credit card details by masquerading as a trusted entity, dupes a victim into opening an email, call ,text message.

Its called '2-step verification'

2-step verification is an extra layer of security. With this you will protect both password and phone.

How it will protect your account?
A six digit number will come as a message in your mobile number when you try to login to your account.this will help when someone try to login to your account,if that person knows your email and password there is no way that can access your account unless he should have your currently using simcard.

So it is really important to register your own mobile number to gmail in order to get OTP while login.
